From the launch collection ‘TUCANO - BRAZIL'.

The 'TUCANO AMAZONIA' features a hand drawn series of illustrations inspired by the colour and beauty that is Brazil by Melbourne artist Despina Tjobanakis.

Intricate images of the Acai berry, the hibiscus flower and the toco toucan in addition to other South American flora, fruit and fauna, will bring a little slice of Brazilian paradise, into your home.Fresh, crisp, colourful and clean drawings of the toco toucan will nest the story of this unique, bold, bright and popular bird - synonymous with the beautiful Brazilian landscape - into your home and lifestyle.

All textile product options are digitally printed using non toxic, solvent free, water based pigment inks.

A little story to take, treasure and tell

The Toco Toucan (Ramphastos toco) is the largest of all toucans measuring around 63.5 cms in length, and is native to South America. It's also one of the world’s most recognisable birds with its enormous, brightly colored bill, black body and white plumage around its throat. Its colorful brilliance is designed camouflage for the rainforest and its bill is actually soft and honeycomb light.

The birds are omnivores and rest in tree holes.

Indigenous peoples regard the bird with a more sacred eye; they are traditionally seen as conduits between the worlds of the living and the spirits.
